This was the slogan of this year’s EFOTT × SQUASH partnership – and within just a few days it proved that music and squash have much more in common than one might think at first.
Based on previous years’ experience, EFOTT attracts close to 100,000 visitors every year. A significant proportion of festival-goers come not only for the evening concerts but also take part in the wide range of sports and recreational activities offered throughout the day. During the four-day festival, more than 500 people stepped onto our mobile squash court and picked up a racket for the very first time. Every participant received a small gift, and we hope that for many of them, squash became one of the most memorable experiences of this year’s festival.
Alongside EFOTT’s own sports programme, universities, sports clubs and local organisations also introduced their activities to visitors. As a national sports federation, the Hungarian Squash Association has proudly represented our sport at EFOTT for the past three consecutive years.
Our local partner, Tibor Kotán (Nextra Event), summed up the week perfectly:
„From a squash perspective, this was our strongest EFOTT so far. The upgraded court, professional branding, quality promotional materials and media presence all contributed to the success, while visitor numbers exceeded our expectations. There were very few quiet moments throughout the festival. A special thank you goes to Secretary General Zsuzsanna Kékesi, whose leadership and commitment played a key role in making this possible.”

„It was fantastic to see how open and enthusiastic young people are when given the opportunity to try a new sport. EFOTT is not only about having fun – it also inspires people to enjoy being active and discover sports they may never have encountered otherwise. If even a few participants decide to pick up a squash racket again after the festival, we’ve already achieved something meaningful. See you next year!”
