Individual European Championships Seeding Announced

The European Squash Federation has published the official seeding for the 2026 European Individual Championships, now available on the TournamentSoftware platform here.

Among the Hungarian players, Balázs Farkas has been seeded 9/16, while Gabriella Csókási, Csenge Kiss-Máté, Benedek Takács, and Dániel Simon have all received 17/32 seedings.

Unfortunately, Hungary’s top-ranked female player, Hannah Chukwu, has withdrawn from the European Championships. She will be replaced in the main draw by Krisztina Kun, a Hungarian junior national team player who was next on the reserve list.


PSA Budapest Open Draw Released

The seeding and draw for the PSA Budapest Open have also been published by the Professional Squash Association and are available here.

The 24-player main draw features competitors from 16 countries, with Egypt having the largest representation with six players.

The field is exceptionally strong, with Balázs Farkas seeded outside the top eight. As a result, all three Hungarian players will begin their campaigns on the opening day of the tournament, Monday, 24 August. Notably, the top seven seeds are all ranked inside the PSA World Top 50.
